Visa requirement to Uganda

Uganda’s visa policy allows citizens of most countries to enter the country without a visa for stays of up to 90 days. However, some countries are required to obtain a visa before arriving in Uganda. These include Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, and North Korea, among others. Visitors from these countries must apply for a visa through the Ugandan embassy or consulate in their home country. Visitors from countries not on the visa-exempt list must apply for a visa in advance. This can be done online through the e-visa portal or through a Ugandan embassy or consulate. Tourist visa: Single entry valid for 90 days Business Visa: Multiple entry valid for 12 months All visitors are required to have a valid passport with at least 6 months remaining before expiration and a return or onward ticket. It is also important to note that visitors to Uganda are required to show proof of yellow fever vaccination upon arrival.
  1. A valid passport with at least 6 months remaining before expiration.
  2. A completed visa application form.
  3. Two passport-sized photographs.
  4. Proof of yellow fever vaccination.
  5. Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of the stay.
  6. A letter of invitation from a host or sponsor in Uganda, if applicable.
  7. A return or onward ticket.
  8. Payment for the visa fee, which can vary based on the type of visa and length of stay.
  9. Business travelers may require additional documentation such as a letter from their employer.
  10. Visitors may also be required to show proof of accommodation arrangements.
